Summer Classics' Teak collections feature plantation-grown teak with mortise and tenon construction--an ancient method of joining wood that while being more labor intensive, results in a much stronger frame.
Further, Summer Classics only uses Grade-A teak from the heartwood, which results in both a more uniform color as well as wood that is highest in natural teak oils, which are what protect the wood from the elements and pests.
All teak collections are available in two finishes: Natural Teak and Oyster Teak. Oyster teak was designed to mimic the silvery grey patina that teak develops as it ages.
